In regards to kevin talking about the "dig effect" that happens to sites, why havent they just used various cacheing website such as Coralize and other solutions like Mirrordot? Once the hits to a site pass a certian threshold they just swap out the url to one of the mirrors?

I don't see much of a "digg effect", at all, really. Alot of the popular articles are gleaned from Fark or Slashdot, and what you're experiencing is a site being farked or slashdotted. I've yet to go to a site that's been "digg effect"'d - one that wasn't set up on someone's home DSL and was a list of Flash applications labeled "AJAX" apps and or yet another CSS tutorial.

i think you should start doing video, great information, id like to like to see the things you talk about while u talk about them though. i also think youd get more viewers (listeners).

i agree with the video idea. I'm not going to listen to you talk about anything. I'm not being mean or anything, it just doesn't appeal to me to listen to someone talk about something unless i find the topic of particular interest. Just now as i was browsing thru from digg, i saw that it was podcast only and i decided to just leave it. Then i glimpsed a comment that suggested using video and thought that i'd second that notion.

I'm not sure if you do it on purpose or not but a few of the podcasts I listen to the hosts seem to be 'softening' thier voice and it seems to make them sound extremely irritating. Otherwise I love the content you guys are talking about and if you are not softening your voice on purpose im sorry. thanks, dane

Good shows and good info. But as you know you gotta do something about those pops and clicks. And the guy with the soft voice, he's gotta speak up. Sorry, his voice is too quiet and calm and it lulls me to sleep.

Greetings, Great interview.. I hope that one of you guys takes me seriously on my comment. You gotta stop with that soft spoken PBS/Easy Listening Radio DJ voice. It has a really weird affect and almost makes your interviewing untolerable. I'm not just spewing hate either it looks like you guys have a great idea about going after big interviews.
